SAFETY DAY

UPI employees and their families enjoy a fun-filled day in the sun while also learning about important safety practices at UPI. Safety Day is held annually every June onsite at UPI, as June is National Safety Month. The day offers informative, safety-themed games, food, prizes, music and friendly competitions organized by the Joint Safety Committee.

A variety of booths representing UPI’s Safety Improvement Teams, the California Highway Patrol, various Health Organizations and Clubs, our onsite EMTs and a visit by the REACH Helicopter provides day-long entertainment. Our goal is to emphasize the importance of safety awareness at work, as well as at home.
