Prior to starting work, UPI employees gather to review and discuss how the job is going to be performed. This allows the group to identify any safety hazards associated with the job and to take the necessary steps to minimize or eliminate those hazards.

Safety huddles are also implemented at any time during the job when there is a change in the nature of the job to be performed. This allows the employees to re-group and discuss what safety procedures need to be incorporated into the new work plan.
